 Thin hydroturf?
I noticed the hydroturf.com website is selling some of the "gator boat brown" turf as well as nat gear. I'm assuming this is the same exact color etc that you can get from gator trax. Only thing is that in the description it says that this turf is thinner than their other kinds (5mm instead of 5.5mm). I was wondering if yall knew what kind gator trax actually used on their boats?
I'm ordering a bunch of "B" stock today and wanted to throw in some brown with it to save on shipping, but if its thinner than the kind gator trax uses or that yall use then i'll just wait and order it from somewhere else.

 Re: Thin hydroturf?
probably not. But the description from hydroturf says "sheets are slightly thinner and less dense than our 40"x 62" sheets. This means they are softer and not quite as durable. Use of heavy boots may cause wear or tearing"
kind of like they are trying to say its not durable?

 Re: Thin hydroturf?
if you are worried about that, AND want to get it inexpensive..
I think their gray diamond pattern runs $60 if they havent changed the price. Tough as nails for their gray, its even better than the camo 'line' pattern as far as durability (per them).

 Re: Thin hydroturf?
I had them send me a sample of the rejected stuff. I compared it against a sample of A grade stuff and it is not as strong. I cut it with knives, embedded hooks in it and tore it. I did the math and if you get it with adhesive backing it is $.01 square inch cheaper for the reject stuff. I also measured my boat and I would need to get three sheets no matter which size so it's an easy decision to get the good stuff.
