Japan did not invade the continental US because of American citizens owning firearms. Do you really think our own govt. can take them? Oh sure they may pass a law, but it is a law they know they cannot enforce. Hell, they couldn't even enforce prohibition as hard as they tried. I mean really if they come knockin on your door to take your guns are you gonna be a pansy and just hand them over or will you stand for your beliefs and put a few rounds in their face then shut the door. We have more armed citizens in the US than even the world's largest army has soldiers. |

The anti's have and will continue to chip away a little at a time til there's nothing left. By chipping a little at a time, they get gun owners believing it's all for the common good. Afterall, gun owners should compromise. But what do the antis give up as we give up some of our rights and liberties? It's because there are only 4-5 million NRA members bearing the load for the other 30 million gun owners. Too many gun owners choose to stick their heads in the sand instead of doing something. It's the divide and conquer method and it works. I'm sure the people of N.O. didn't think the police would go around and steal people's guns after Katrina hit. |

They were trying to pass a law here in CA that would make you give your driver license info and a fingerprint to buy ammo in any gun shop. |

My problem with "Gun Control" is that law abiding citizens are going to be the ones who suffer. Do you think the ninjas are gonna care if it is illegal? No, and if you take guns away from the people who are doing things legally then the illegal will really have the upper hand. |

When they come knocking on the door, just do like you do the Jehovah's witnesses and act like nobody's home. Eventhough, there's four cars in the driveway. ![]() |
Do you really think the govt would use it's own military to attack their own people, and do you really believe our soldiers would actually carry out any orders to enforce a gun control law? Just a reminder; our military members don't take an oath to the president, congress, or even the american people. They take an oath to the constitution and the constitution gives us the right to bear arms, so you can bet you but they would be on our side.
Yes i do. I certainly dont believe everything I read, but Ive seen polls that suggest at least a portion of our military would carry out orders to enforce gun control, including firing on civilians. Our constitution has been pretty much raped over the years, think how many times people have already been denied freedom of speech, right to assembly, so forth, just in the few years barrack hussein has been in the white house |

There is no way in hell the military will follow orders to fire on civilians. That would be a civil war they will lose right before the country implodes. |

Post subject: | Re: GUN RIGHTS |
I'd like to believe that the folks I served with in the military and PD or those still serving would not follow such an order to try to disarm our citizens. But I'm not giving up my weapons to anyone so we shall see. And Japan had no intention of invading the US. They knew that could never be done. The real enemy comes from within. |

How many states besides California and New York require gun registration or licensing? Slim to none, correct? This is simple. If there is no paper trail then I don't own any guns. |

Have you ever bought a gun from any type of FFL holder? Or hell, I'd be willin to be that the fact you have a hunting liscence could justify a search from the man. Can't hunt without a gun right? |

FFL transfers don't mean a thing. I can freely sell my guns without a FFL in Louisiana. |

If you've ever bought a gun through an FFL, than you will be on record as a gun owner, regardless of how you sell them |

You are in the dealers records. Those are records which he must retain for 20 years or forfeit to the ATF upon retirement. You are not in government records. As broken as our government is I don't believe they can pull it off. There are too many holes in the whole process to pull off something like this. |

Post subject: | Re: GUN RIGHTS |
The ATF isn't the government? A gun purchased through a FEDERAL firearms license holder isn't seen by any type of government agency? I hope your right, but as long as our country actually wants people like obama and pelosi minding our business I don't think any type of right we have is safe |

The ATF can get the FFL records. The just aren't routinely given to the ATF. |

10 day wait period on all gun sales in CA plus $45.00 for DOJ paper work. The real f'd up thing here is that after the 10 day hold on your gun and you pick it up, if you decide to buy another gun that day, you have to wait 10 days again and do another background check and pay the fee again. |

There is a large percentage of "gun owners" in america that will hand over over their guns without much more than a whimper. I honestly can't say I think americans would win a civil war against america |
