 GDSD 35hp bushing
ok i need to replace the bushing that holds the motor to the transom clamp, it came with a rubber/plastic/teflon looking material, GD sent me some brass bushings to replace them . looking for some tips/advice on changing them out. right now my engine will wobble left to right pretty bad

Replaced mine last year and it was not the easiest thing to do. The bushing fits tight so I had to beat them in w/a hammer. Just becareful not to bend them up, if I remember they are brass. When you knock the pin back in start the nut on one side just enough to prevent from damaging the treads when tapping it w/hammer. Oh and I lifted mine up w/ a chain hoist then lower back the same way. It easier to have someone helping you align holes when putting pin back in. I'm no pro but hope this helped
