Hey folks! New to the site and ready to pull the trigger on my first rig. I've got the motor narrowed down to a GTR 35 with a 17' boat of the same maker. However, I wonder about some of these other custom boat makers like uncle J or brother breaux. I'm from Tx. So I'm not that familiar with these custom boat manufacturers. Any input on differences in cost, performance, more performance, and craftsmanship would be greatly appreciated.

Not a lot of builders around when I bought mine. I went with Gator-Tail because I wanted a matched hull to their GTR35. Decide on a motor then match a hull to it. Lot of good builders but the folks at Gator-Tail can build anything you want to. All you have to do is ask

What are you from? There may be someone close that has a rig you could look at.

I'm from about 50 miles NW of Houston. I'm sure Gatortail makes a fine boat and I already know I'm going with the GTR 35, but I just want to make a well informed decision and not wish I had gone with something else later. I haven't even been on a m.m. and I just don't know that much about them. I mostly hunt airboats, but they cost too damn much.

Gatortail stands behind their rigs 100%!! They did alot of r&d to make their rigs perform best with their combos!! As for as I'm concerned their is no better match out their than their boat and motor combos!!

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll go with my original plan, besides I can probably get into it quicker that way. I want to try to strike a deal with someone by the end of the week. Duck season is fast approaching!
