sweet ass winchester sx3!!! had major problems w/ a benelli and then a browning before getting this awesome mf'cker (all guns brand new, all 3 1/2" able). now it's just up to me to hit da bird/no excuses/no gun problems. i highly recommend this gun / just my experience...

That's a good gun you have there. I have a Beretta Xtrema 2 and couldn't be happier either. Gas guns are so much more reliable than inertia operated guns.

They are nice but the browning maxus are the same gun but have the new power drive gas system and they are so smooth is crazy

I can say, I would highly recommend the SX3. I've had mine for a couple of years and had zero issues. It's been used mostly in salt water marshes, rice fields, and even got heavily used on Kodiak Island shooting sea ducks. When I got back from Kodiak, I had a local gunsmith clean it. He said it looked like a bomb went off in the gun because it was so dirty. It never missed a beat. One of the best shotguns I've ever used.

nice gun man. i have a a391 xtrema and it has never skipped a beat. cycles through 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 without a lick of trouble. and this thing gets dirty. been through mud, frozen water, and weeds. sometimes use it as an oar or walking stick to get through nasty deep mud...this thing is a beast!!

Ive had mine for 2 years i shoot it alot this weekend had my 1st problem.the pluger on the mag tube is steel.Well it had a sht load of rust on it wouldnt load the last shell.Took it a part cleaned it up as good as new.I know my bad never cleaned the mag tube.I love that gun.

You honestly have to be crazy to say gas operated guns are more reliable that inertia driven. over time a gas gun has to be cleaned cause of the build up of gun powder in the operating system. When a inertia driven gun wont have this problem.

Sorry but thats not true click my weatherby never miss a beat and they all need cleaning had a pump and had problems shooting 3 1/2 it would drop a live round out in the lake

i shot a browning gold for 10 years and hab problems all the time, then i went to a beretta. shot it and like it but it was only a 3 inch gun. got a benelli and havent had trouble yet i have shot low brass high brass everything with it.

I've 'bout concluded that all of 'em will screw you at any given time. 'Cept of cource that ugly as all git out ... kickin' son-of-a-buck .... Nova !!!! Thats rite .... I typed Nova !!! Cain't stands that gun .... but when I feels the need to go Boom-Boom-Boom .... I'll drag it out .... most 'specially if'n it's a wade hunt !!!

I have 2 SBEII's and a cordoba. Never had any issue with any of them, but I clean my guns after almost every time hunt. I think it's pretty irresponsible to have any nice gun-no matter the brand- and neglect cleaning it. As far as inertia driven guns not being able to shoot light loads... Keestan were those light loads the first to go through that inertia driven gun?? You have to shoot a couple of boxes of heavy loads first in most semi autos I know to break in the action. That's what I did and have NEVER (in 4 seasons with these guns) had any problem whatsoever. Not bashing the Beretta or other guns by any means, just defending inertia driven guns.

I used to shoot sporting clays alot!! My benelli super sport never had one issue and all I shot was 1oz shells!!

My SBE 2 wont hardly cycle light loads for shit! Its as clean as a whistle on the inside. Ordered a Beretta Urika 2 this morning! I never shoot 3 1/2" shells, so I went with it over the Extrema.

That's why I ordered a 3" gun. lol

But I was shooting 1 1/8 oz in the SBE 2 and it still had trouble.

Gonna give the Beretta its chance this duck season, If I don't like it, I still have my SBE 2

My extrema 2 will cycle 1oz loads all day, but will not cycle 7/8 oz loads. My buddies original extrema will cycle 7/8 oz. Hell it dosent matter cause I really dont shoot less than 1 oz anyway. I just so happend to have a few boxes of old ass low brass from back in the day.

have not had one problem what so ever with my SBE2, everything from the lightest cheapest shells to 3.5 (and lots of em) Could not sit back and see my Favorite Weapon get bashed...hahaha

I'm on my 3rd season with my SX3 and I can say for certain, any SBE-2 can't hold a candle to the Winchester.

does anyone own a versa max. I have held one a few times and i feel it fits me best. my next favorite was the maxus. I am hesitant to buy the versa max because i have heard much about them. Also i have a hard time putting down my 870 because it never fails.

I love my sx3. Me and 2 buddies all bought them 4.5 yrs ago and 1 broke a gas piston spring this summer now the other 2 are cracked but still.funtion at the moment. Not to bad for the. Abuse they take the new part is about 100 bucks buy i still love the gun just everybody should take a look so she dont go down during season. My local gunsmith keeps them on hand
