I just pput HID lights on my boat. I am very new to them. Should they have to warm up like metal halide lights? It takes them a minute to get bright. Just wondering. |

Mine take a few seconds my brother has them in his car aftermarket and they take a few seconds don't know if the expensive set are faster but not worth the price difference to me |

I don't know alot about them either, but I know they have a ballast like flourescents do. There are rapid active ballast & slow ballast. Yall might just have slow ballasts & could change em out. |

Yea they all do that it takes a lil while to warm up because it takes a while for the charge to build up in the ballast |
