 Re: The New model ProDrive?
That is awesome! Anyone care to report how drive was connected and geared to the lower unit?

 Re: The New model ProDrive?
Ive seen people do this with smaller outboard motors and small air cooled motors. Basically a briggs air cooled motor on steroids.

 Re: The New model ProDrive?
That Idea has been done around the Franklin/ MC area for many years. Make a mounting plate to hold the motor and get a coupler to go from the crank to the LU dshaft. BINGO its done!

 Re: The New model ProDrive?
I call bs on his speed though. I don't see a 24hp briggs being able to turn a 40hp outboard prop fast enough to reach 32.

 Re: The New model ProDrive?
and unlike GDSD's you can change the prop on a mercury foot so he could have put on either a smaller diamater or smaller pitch prop

 Re: The New model ProDrive?
Yah that was a evinrude 115 power head on a PD frame. It was a UL college project his name is Heath Prados. The last time I talk to him he say they wasnt messing with it no more, and its just sitting in his shop...The motor look like it was on a alien movie with all those radiator hoses running off of it...
