To/from the camp. To the the blind. While your scouting. Just riding around. Do u keep it wide open all the time, 3/4 throttle, just barely on plane? My motor will turn up to 4300(CDI) with just about any load, but I find myself running about 4000-4100 most times. I keep it around 3700 when I'm just cruising around. About 80% of the time it's at 4000 r better. A friend of mine keeps his Mudbuddy WFO wherever he goes for however long it takes. |

Run mime WFO except when I get to the camp and just cruisin around the bayous. Its about a 30 minute run to the camp and its wide open the whole time. Its a lawnmower motor, thats how they cut grass. ![]() |

I normally run my mower a little below WOT I run my mudmotor right around about WTFO all the time, but it rarely spins above 3900 with my loads. If I am crusing and just enjoying the ride I will let off to where it will barely stay on step. |

I'm glad someone else was wondering this. I have never had a mud motor before and I have been wondering the same thing. I was told to drive it like I stole it, so when I first took it out for a ride I had a 4 or 5 mile run where i ran it pretty hard. Then i was told I had a breakin period where I didn't need to run it that hard till I got some more hours on it. So now I have just under 10 hrs on it and I'm running it at wot a little but mainly staying between 3400 and 3800 hoping that those first few miles at wot didn't hurt anything. How many hours do I need to have on it to run the hell out of it with out doing damage? |

DDM... I can't answer your lawnmower question. A lawnmower doesn't fit my hands. I've tried!!! Just isn't for me. LMAo |

its not that you cant run slow or low rpms with these motors. you can, but they were designed to run more efficient and better cooling at wot. |
