 Toledo Bend ???
I plan to go ride around at Toledo Bend this weekend and was wondering what ramps are open on the north end. I have never been out there before and looking at the lake levels its like most east texas lakes right now real low.
Questions?? 1.) Is it mainly mud or is there a lot of sand? 2.) Can you put in at Logansport in the Sabine or is it to shallow? 3.) If you can put in at Logansport can you run south into the lake or does it get to shallow when you get to the lake? 4.) What are some other ramps that are open on the north end? 5.) If you can put in at Logansport can you run north and are any of the pockets of water off the river accessible by boat like you see on google earth? 6.) Are there alot of sand bars in the river right now?
If you don't want to answer some of these questions on the forum please PM me. Thanks.

 Re: Toledo Bend ???
Around Milam, Holly Park Marina is open. But they advise ONLY idle in the boat lanes. A surface drive may be able to plane out, I havent ran lately in the lake. Nules at the end of FM 276 pat Holly Park was being Dredged out for Thanksgiving when i was up there, I think it may be open. There is ALOT of sand in those areas.

 Toledo Bend ???
As for what ramps are open i dont know but Lots of sand and stumps everywhere like most east tx lakes. Very little mud except in what would normally be the backwaters but I'm sure most of that is dry.

 Re: Toledo Bend ???
I guess there is not alot of people that frequent this lake. Like i said before if you don't want to post this information on this forum please Pm me. What i would really like to know is if the river is navigable or not before i drive an hour and half. If i can't put in at Logansport i probably am not going to drive much further south to launch the boat. Thanks for the help so far willett and MaXXis85.

 Re: Toledo Bend ???
My brother messed up his prop there last week and he's very familiar with the lake. It a POA right now to get anywhere or even launch.

 Re: Toledo Bend ???
Check out the toledo bend website, it has what ramps are open on it, but the further north u go the less it is plus the boat roads are worse with stumps on the north end
