Post subject:  Guys who have built their own surface drive
I have asked before about this topic but. Anyone out there who have built their own surface drive interested in making and selling me some plans? I think it may be cheaper to buy one but I am looking for something for me and a friend to do over the off season.

Why re invent the wheel? They have proven models that work. If you like tinkering, you can find onw that needs to be rebuilt and you can have a project aswell.

U can take measurements off someone's sd. My Potna Brett with tuna dawg boats is about to build one with 80-100hp for less money than a 35...maybe u can ask him. He said there ain't shit to building em...granted he's a cocky fuck that can do shit like it ain't shit! :lol:
