Which motor between a Prodrive and a Gatortail is better on the Godevil hull?

Gatortail. Better on the boat and instant reverse will serve you well fishing. I drive a pd and say gtr

I have a Gator-Tail on a GDSD hull. It works fine...not near as good as it would on a GT hull but works pretty good nonetheless.

You ask if it's worth the additional money....YES!!! It's worth every penny!

It all boils down to you deciding whats more important/convenient. Instant reverse...or not instant reverse. If reversing around the boat ramp and in and out of the duck blind is what's important...get a GT. If being able to go 20 mph in reverse tickles your clit...get a PD.

If its round Chine and has a tapered transom, I'd say the GTr. I never liked the way a PD runs on those boats.

Another thing to think about is gtr has a little more tiller torque than pd of because of out drive length. gtr is a little faster also

If you can live with a gd you will be fine with a gtr

Having ran a PD on a 1844 GD hull, I'd say go with the GTR. The PD worked good, but the GTR is a more fishing friendly setup.
