 Louisiana MudMotor Salwater Classic
Guys hello my name is Bryan LeBlanc I have been working with some guys in Baton Rouge and surronding areas on a redfish series for mud motor boats only and boats with a OB up to 50-60 Hp.. We have been meeting and talking to two major outdoor stores who are intersted in the tournaments because of the number of boat/motor builders here locally, about this and have gotten almost everything finalized with one of the biggest outdoor stores here... Im going to give you all a little info on the tournement series and not go into full detail of rules and so on but we are simply looking for numbers of boat owners who would be interested in a 5 tournement series and a championship at the end.. We need the numbers to show corporate that thier store being the major sponsor we would possibly have some good number of boats wanting to fish the series and it being popular tournement... Most of the rules are the same as a IFL, LASS, etc etc but this is a tournament strictly for us mudmotor owners... We have pushed around not having any outboards at all but at this point we are leaving it to them as well... Our main goal right now is to finalize the contract with one of these stores so we can have offical wiegh-ins, good tournament winnings and prizes and so forth... We have 5 different Louisiana hot spots already chosen for the the tournement and also a place for the championship... We are taking any suggestions you may have, we might not have thought of and may add to our rules, sites, and/or proposal... Four advid redfishermen including myself have been working on this for a year now and the last 4 months of winter and long hunting trips with the companys we wanted to have this ready for march but because of corporate rules and regulations we ran out of time.. So any suggestions, dates, places, etc , etc you think we might not have thought of please email us anytime or pm... We also will have a website that will be lauching here in the next 2-3 weeks along with a commercial on Louisiana SportsmanTV.... I hope everyone is as excitied about this kind of tourney as I am.. We have been working on this for a year now and the last 4-5 months have been crazy... We sure would like to have any thoughts but please let us know if this is something you would enter your boat in with a teammate and fish.... I look forward to this series and hoping to have some of you fishing with us in the near future... Tony B thanks for allowing me to post this exciting event we have been working on and I look forward to the first event... Re: Louisiana MudMotor Salwater Classic
How about 2 dead redfish stringer or 5 dead stringer. Most mud boats will not have the capacity to keep the reds alive.
Does this mean I now have to get my boat wrapped with sponsor logos. Fishing shirts?

 Re: Louisiana MudMotor Salwater Classic
Adding a live well is cheap and simple... Having a true tournament with a live weight helps us with the sponsors and the value of our tournament... Sponsors and tshirts will be up to the team... You do not have to have them but it does help the team...
Thanks everyone who has sent me Pm's and who have commented on the tournament so far..
Thanks Bryan

 Re: Louisiana MudMotor Salwater Classic
I think live weigh in should be mandatory. 1/2 lb deduction or bonus (however you want to award it) for either bringing in a live fish or deduction if dead etc.... I word mine as a bonus and thus give +8oz to any live fish. Redfish are easy to keep alive. We run oxygen systems over here that can control the rate of flow into the cooler or livewell. www.pro-o2.comPolygraph the winners Certified Weigh Master

 Re: Louisiana MudMotor Salwater Classic
Personally, I'd open it up to Texas too... That's just me being jealous that I can't fish in my back yard

 Re: Louisiana MudMotor Salwater Classic
