The reason I ask is a guy offered me $3,000 for it. Is that a fair price. I've seen several older Hyper-Drives sale for that price on here and most of them looked like a pile of rust.

Would a 27 Kohler be able to be mounted and ran?

3000 is a good price Casey, for the year and the condition, this motor is well taken care of, spends more time on the stand than anything. Runs really good

Thanks......I felt that was a good price. I figured I couldn't get anymore for it considering the year model.

50, Take'em and BoatDr,

I took the opportunity today to meet with Borel. He is very nice guy. I got to look at some of his work and go over a drawing I made of my future boat and a scrap book of boat pictures with different features I like. I left there feeling really good about my decision. He had a couple suggestions but said everything I'm looking for in the new boat was no problem. He is a one man show so everything is done by him. He has one boat in front of mine. Hopefully he will make it to mine around May. I'm very excited.

Mr. Carl is a good man and one of the best BOat builders, he takes his time to make sure everything is right. Did you go with the half pipe front end or the sharp front end like mine? You will be very pleased with his build. He is a very nice guy and willing to help you out in any way that he can TRUST ME. Did you see the bullet in his shop, that little boat with a 40 merc on it will run everybit of 70-74 MPH

Yeah its in his shop, i was talking to him about it the other day, its being rigged out as we speak and the motor will need to be broken in. Fresh motor on the back, was talking to Mr. Carl the other day, said he wants me to take it on the river and make some passes in it. He'll never sell it, it was craig's boat, he just wants to see it on the water and ask if i would run it for him, i didn't hesitate.

why 45* at the trasom? I belive it hurts forward performance, more than it helps reverse performance.

Casey joel an I ran it again yesterday 30mph with 2 guys 200 an 230. 27mph with 3 guys an 1 kid. That motor is exactly what that boat was missing lol.

Post subject:  Re: What's it Worth?

It all depends on the boat design of it hurts it or not.
Mine has a 45 at the back and it doesn't hurt it at all but I've seen boats that it makes it ride a lot lower in the back and it'll run slow

the cut at the transm makes it act like the hull is shorter.

I have the 45 on the back and it does porpoise a little bit when running top speed.

Casey you getting excited about your borel? I sent him an email the other day and he was telling me about it, i told him that i new. the email i got back simply said, "man your boat gets around, You know everybody"

He's a good ol'man
