I was using Ifinder H20, but have been using the navionics lakes app for my droid here lately. It works pretty well but I'm in the market for a good GPS/Sonar unit.

My wife got me a Garmin Oregon for Christmas. It is nice for hunting and fishing.

i have a magellen xl. had it for several years now works great. kinda bulky though. now days you can get a basic Garmin Etrex for $100 bucks that is within 15ft accuracy. anything that can lock on to GLONASS will be much better and have higher accuracy.

I use Backcountry Nav Pro on my phone. My gps took a dump and I doubt I buy another. $10 well spent.

I have 2 60-series garmins w/ topo maps. They are pretty good units and not too $$$ now. Phone is good at times but I don't want to try to drive at wot before daylight and look at a little i-phone screen and hope the sattelite stays locked. Just my 2 cents.

Probably just an android app, and not available for I-Phones. Could be wrong though.

It has both topo and sat, plus some other option I never use. It also works with MyTopo.com so you can import custom maps.

I couldn't find it in the "app store" either, must not be available on apple. I have an Android.

navionics on my iphone. US, inland and coastal. it was $10 well spent, and like mentioned before, you can download the area map before leaving and it will be available even without service.

Motion X GPS for iPhones allows use of GPS when not in cell range. Download maps then can use them when u don't have cell service. Access to NOAA charts, satellite, topo, and other. Awesome app and would recommend it
