Careful over there. Just got a virus on my computer at 2:30 today and just got rid of it. Don't remember doing anything but logging in. I know, serves me right going over there. ![]() |

I guess I got lucky at 2:30pm EST today. Typed in www.mudbuddy.com and all hell broke loose. Even Tapatalk won't go in. Google Chrome gave me a warning on Thurs or Friday about the website, but I used Internet Explorer today. |

According to the google warning it is not a virus, it is a trojan malware program. Download a program like malware bytes and run it ASAP! Trojan malware programs will ruin a hard drive quick! |

I'm glad you guys like your overpriced, under performing, non customizable macs. My free anti-virus and anti-malware programs built into my google browser also prevented me from accessing the site. ![]() |

And just FYI, macs are just as susceptible to trojan malware as PC's, maybe more so since mac owners think they are completely safe and have no secondary protection. |

More malware is written specifically for da PC's. I build gamin machines en all of em are PC's. I will admit dat I fight more crap and am reinstalling OS's constantly. On my wife's Mac, never. En she's on it all day long. I won't leave my PC's as they are better performers fer games but the software is way more vulnerable. If ya look up PC's da same way ya just researched da Mac malware ya'd find 50 times more. |

I have 2 toshiba laptops, one for 4 years, the other for 2, and have not had a virus or malware infection on either. It is also worth noting that in the course of research I spend a large amount of time on Chinese and Russian servers with no issues. If you enjoy paying more money for less features then good for you, but the one thing apple had going for it, no viruses or malware, just isn't true anymore. You should also read some of the reports from mac owners who got a trojan while under warranty and apple said sucks to be you. The point here is that you said buy a mac because it doesn't get malware, that is false. Apple has admitted that there are more and more malicious programs popping up for mac, it is just a matter of time before there are just as many as there are for a pc. |

Only on MMT does a discussion on a specific instance of computer malware morph into a "chevy vs ford" argument about operating systems and computer brands...the type of argument normally reserved for mud motor brands. I don't visit here as often as I used to because it is tedious to wade through the bullshit. BTW, I got the malware on my PC from visiting the Mudbuddy site. It was nasty and time-consuming to fix and I only did so after enlisting the help of my twenty-something, tech-savvy son. |

idabilly, it was all in humor, but it is the nature of the beast. I got hit with the original trojan malware, the blasterworm, back in 2003 and learned my lesson with that one. from that point on I am very careful with my computer protection. If you got hit I recommend using a new browser like Google Chrome or Firefox, they have antimalware built in and will not let you visit an infected site, unless you choose to bypass their warning. |

The infected website might be the Lord's way of telling people what is about to happen with the MM that is to be released. Just a VIRUS that people will have to deal with. |
