I really like the looks of the Gen 2 switch panel. Anybody have some good pros/cons about the 6 switch panel? |

I haven't found the cheapest price, yet. But, they are pretty easy to find if you google them. Link to BEP Marine's website has the details. http://www.bepmarine.com/home-mainmenu- ... itch-panel Basically, product description is this: The new Contour Generation 2 spray proof range has been designed to follow on from the success of our contour spray proof panels. Generation 2 offers unique styling utilising the latest techniques in injection moulding. The switch tray is moulded plastic with a rubber gasket and seal moulded into the plastic. The cover is moulded in a clear plastic with a rubber over-mould allowing the flexibility to operate the switches through the front of the panel while providing a clear window for label backlighting. The contour wave strip is interchangeable allowing for custom colours for OEM applications. Standard colour supplied is black panel with charcoal strip. G2 can be mounted vertically or horizontally and is available in 2, 4 and 6 way configurations. A joiner is available for multiple panel installations. Supplied complete with on/off switches, these can be interchanged with a variety of different switch options. |

I like the other contour five switch panel with the 12 volt socket, also. I know I will be putting a 12 volt socket on the console. But, I liked the backlit option of the Generation 2 switch panel. Maybe I could drop in a small LED above the switch panel some kind of way...maybe beneath an angle or something to light up the five switch set up? BEP 5 way with power outlet.jpg |

Bubba, Did you have to purchase/install a separate ground buss? Does each switch have its own fuse? I really like this one, also since I am thinking I only need five switches and it has the built-in 12 volt socket. I think a strategically placed LED would give me the light I would want on the switch panel. It is also a big difference in price between the two. Anybody else have the BEP five switch with 12 volt socket? Pros/Cons? |

Going with LED nav lights. Thinking of going with the LED strips for courtesy lights. Strategically located beneath the catwalks and inside two dry storage compartments. I am wanting enough low level lighting to see all floor areas. Boat will be a center console, so switch panel will be on the console. Five switch set-up with 12 volt socket is perfect for me. 1 - Red/Green Nav Lights 2 - Stern Nav Light 3 - Courtesy Lights 4 - Bilge Pump 5 - Stereo/accessory |
