 wiring on a bear trim
does anyone know about the wiring on a bear trim , there is 2 wires coming out of it .is one up and one down and do they both work on 12 volts r is one run by a ground

It is a reverse polarity motor. It should have a red and black wire coming out of the motor. So, if you put 12v positive to the red wire, and 12v negative to the black wire, for arguement sake lets just say that makes the (bear trim) motor turn clockwise which in turn makes the engine trim up. But if you reverse that (put negative to the red, and posive to the black) it will make the motor turn counterclockwise and thus making the engine trim down...................hopefully that makes sense.

ok thanks i was thingking that but was not sure that was right. r if the housing was grounded and both where hot .i get it now thanks for the help.
