Had my first experience with a mudmotor yesterday. Pro-Drive 27 FPR. It did all I wanted, and more, in the place I hunt. The "test" was relavent. Still learning... All other things equal, cost, right boat, etc... Why would I NOT go Pro-Drive? Also, thanks to Podcast for the awesome ride yesterday, and for extending yourself to allow me the opportunity and share your insights. Thanks to Bigbuckfever as well, who made a smiliar offer but was not able to join us Saturday. Sorry we did not have a chance to meet - this time. |

Pro drives a good motor. If I were you I'd get the 36 tho, you regret it later if you don't. Also dont just stop there, be open to other brands and test drive them all. |

Are you still planning to put this on your 1448 jon boat? If so, biggest is definitely not better in this case. |

Not on the 1448. Have decided, I guess, that I really need to be bigger boat and not Mod-V. Bigger for the motor, and bigger, too for space when hunting. Lowe 1448 not configured very well. Don't want to spend the $$, but might have to find a way. Still thinking I am going to make a trip to LarrysIllowa to see and try the Copperheads, if I need to stay light. |
