Had my first experience with a mudmotor yesterday. Pro-Drive 27 FPR. It did all I wanted, and more, in the place I hunt. The "test" was relavent. Still learning... All other things equal, cost, right boat, etc... Why would I NOT go Pro-Drive?

Also, thanks to Podcast for the awesome ride yesterday, and for extending yourself to allow me the opportunity and share your insights. Thanks to Bigbuckfever as well, who made a smiliar offer but was not able to join us Saturday. Sorry we did not have a chance to meet - this time.

Pro drives a good motor. If I were you I'd get the 36 tho, you regret it later if you don't. Also dont just stop there, be open to other brands and test drive them all.

Are you still planning to put this on your 1448 jon boat? If so, biggest is definitely not better in this case.

Not on the 1448. Have decided, I guess, that I really need to be bigger boat and not Mod-V. Bigger for the motor, and bigger, too for space when hunting. Lowe 1448 not configured very well. Don't want to spend the $$, but might have to find a way.

Still thinking I am going to make a trip to LarrysIllowa to see and try the Copperheads, if I need to stay light.
