ordered a 6.5 dixie 2 weeks ago. ben said then it was a 5 week wait. with the season getting closer i imagine both companys will start getting flooded with orders. i havent ran either motors personally but both from what i have read are great motors. most comments on here are leaning towards copperhead but other forums give great reviews on dixie. use google and search and read. |

I own a dixie. Custom ordered with a 13hp honda gx 390. Added some racing parts. Clipped the yellow wire. (low oil sensor). Starts on the first pull. Every time. 24mph-1442 Alumacraft (One person). Add a couple of big boys and the speed drops. I get 16 MPH with 2 big guys + boat+ motor 900# ? Love my Dixie and Bens a great guy. He really goes out of his way to please you. Best of luck ! |

They are both great motors. I have a Dixie and a friend has a copperhead. We both enjoy them. I wouldn't pay extra for the copperhead when you get great speeds and quality product from Ben. |

Bend the skeg, it's got a kickup lever on it, so it wouldn't do anything to the frame, just the skeg. |
