If it was a continental or a Lycoming motor you can start them by spinning the prop over manually. Thats what i gathered from reading it. He was propbably trying to hand prop it and those motors or horrible for kick back and thats probably how it got him

You have no sympathy , the dude is a single dad that works his ass of to provide for his family, did you not read the post. I can understand your point if he was a low life drug dealer looking for hand outs. Otherwise don't comment again

Naj. Shit happens. Most people refer to it as an accident. I seriously doubt he would have done it had he known what the the end result would be

its called hand proping, we do it all the time on non electric planes ,very easy to get f up need to pay attention to detail that prop is nothing more then a buzz saw , some times we spin the prop backwards to clear out the cylinder when the engine is hot so that you don't get a kick back out of the prop, time the pull and stay clear of the prop :!:

Very sad to see this to happen but it does , this guy is not far from me about two hour , gonna check around and see if anyone has heard of this alot of airboaters in my neck of the world.
