If it was a continental or a Lycoming motor you can start them by spinning the prop over manually. Thats what i gathered from reading it. He was propbably trying to hand prop it and those motors or horrible for kick back and thats probably how it got him |

You have no sympathy , the dude is a single dad that works his ass of to provide for his family, did you not read the post. I can understand your point if he was a low life drug dealer looking for hand outs. Otherwise don't comment again |

its called hand proping, we do it all the time on non electric planes ,very easy to get f up need to pay attention to detail that prop is nothing more then a buzz saw , some times we spin the prop backwards to clear out the cylinder when the engine is hot so that you don't get a kick back out of the prop, time the pull and stay clear of the prop ![]() |

Very sad to see this to happen but it does , this guy is not far from me about two hour , gonna check around and see if anyone has heard of this alot of airboaters in my neck of the world. |
