Where is the best place to get a hard hat light? I am not in LA so I cant really just run down to my local hardware store and pick one up. So Ill have to have one shipped. Thanks |

Go devil, check Louisiana Sportsman, or just run to your hardware store and get the stuff to make one they are really easy to make, you can find directions from google. |

I just made two last week. Bought a set of HID auxiliary driving lights at Wally World for $19. Used the mounting bracket and mounted one directly to the front of a hard hat. Toggle switch from Lowe's, 14 gauge speaker wire, and cigarette lighter plug, and a little brown/black paint completed that one. The other light, I again used the mounting bracket and attached it to a piece of insulation flashing which I put in a press break to get a good angle. I then lapped it over the head band (beneath the liner) of a grinding face shield suspension. Mounted the toggle switch on the side of it. Used a male trolling motor receptacle for it so it could be used from the front of the boat. Here is my son and his friend using both of them...first time frogging for both of them. They naturally had to go through the learning curve of grabbing frogs over Labor Day weekend! DSC03557a.jpg |
