Thats what i was thinking RJ, sure as hell not close to a rigid 20" price range...i paid 315 for my 10" and that was the cheapest i found anywhere.. |

10 inch Baja Designs stealth. Very bright and only 1.5 inches tall, a little pricey though $340. |

After reading up on it, I went with three Rigid Industries instead of the bar, same price, better light and more options. I can turn the two drivers to the side if running banks and the spot in the middle lights up the canal. Two D2 Drivers, 1 Dually Spot, $400 and 43 watts total. Bright as a MFer. |

Will, I am curious, what's the amp draw and lumens on that thing?? Looks nice!! |

Post subject: | Re: Led light bars |
Less than 3 amps and the lumens are weird, leds trend to be brighter with less lumens i think, these are only 6000 or something like that. |

It's the stock Prodrive light housing, and the duallys I got are 1500 lumens each, I think the d2s are 2500 lumens or something, I got my duallys on amazon for $170, rigid has the duallys at 200 a pair and the d2s 400 a pair I believe |

Here are the boxes mine came in with the light out puts...This combo beats the 10" E Series at the same price and more adjustments are allowed using three lights (like shining to the sides) The kit comes with everything you need except the main bracket, which would be easy to make out of anything you got. I ordered the 27's and sent them back. They will close their eyes if you turn on a Rigid, you get what you pay for. |

Brink, any pics at night? I'm waiting on a reply from him now to see if he can recreate Wills setup. But he has some 6" bars that as a pair might work out well! |

Will. If i was driving 50 mph, or my life depended on it i could probably see spending 1-3x more for the lights. I have purchased everythign from High Bay, 2x4 office lights, 27w for my ranger and bowfishign boat, and the bar and they all shine further than the eye can see. Chaseh i had a pic of the Bar at night but cant find it. |

I got a buddy that has some he will sell. 14 inch for 200! gonna check what brand they are. We wanted to put LED lights on the airboat for bowfishing and flounder gigging. When we saw the price that Rigid LED wanted for their E series LED lights we almost fell over from shock. After doing a bunch of research I found out who is making their lights in China and got their info. A co-worker of mine said he would buy the 20 case min order so we could get the 3 lights we wanted for the airboat and said lets just sell the rest for enough that we break even. When we got the light we where blown away by the quality and the amount of light they put out. I have two 9" Hela HID lights on my boat that cost me $800.00. For years I thought they where the best light I had ever seen and people on this site that have hunted with me can tell you the light they put off is just insane. Brothers these LED lights make them look like candles! |

I ordered a D2 today. If I like it I might order a second one but I just couldn't afford two of them right now. I almost went with an E series 6 inch bar but decided against it after watching some of the comparisons. Do anyone have some suggestions on mounting these on the front where there is not power available? |

Post subject: | Re: Led light bars |
from all the video comparisons i see and having a 20" e series combo looks to me like the duallys give a good flood pattern but doesnt shine near as far as the light bars. off the website specs the peak distance between the duallys and just a 10" bar, the 10" bar shines out way further but the d2 shine better and wider at a closer distance but then again a 10" bar is 1350 more lumens than the d2. a 20" bar on my truck will shine a 4 lane highway further than you can see if it had more of a flood pattern just a little bit closer it would be perfect. im sure the d2's shine pretty far but from the comparisons it isnt anywhere close to what the 20" is and i didnt pay much more than what the d2's cost. |

If you have a crimp in your hull use bilge hose and run it inside your crimp. Drill a hole in your front deck and add a quick connect plug similar to a trolling motor. |

Got the lights mounted and wired. I used Will's setup (Kudos, Will.) Used the old GT Baja light bracket and plug ( knew it would come in handy one day). The switches are located in my rocker panel in rear driver box. All I have to do is slide the bracket in, plug them in and flip a switch (or two depending on what light combo I want). I isolated the circuits where I can use these lights in the following combination all from one plug: D2 pair Dually Spot D2 pair + Dually Spot When I am done with them I simply unplug and store them. As for performance: WOW! Good luck finding any HID set that can even come close. I am sure there are some other LEDs that are out there that can compete, but I would like to see them side-by-side. I will try to post some nights shots soon. |
