I am changing the transmission oil in hydr trim and was wondering........after emptying the bowl and reassembling, should I have the motor all the way trimmed down or up before refilling? Thanks for the input |

The reason I ask is when the hdryo lines blew 2 yrs ago and I had to replace them, I was told to make sure you have the motor all the way trimmed down(i think) before you fill with trans oil. If I am just changing the oil from the resorvoir, and there is still oil in the lines, do I need to worry about whether the moror is trimmed up or down, or does it even matter? |

It should have been trimmed all the way up before you started draining. When the rod is fully retracted it has displaced the most amount of fluid. |

Remember not to crack any of the lines or or engine will slam down hard and fast. |

I had the original lines made to 4k PSI............pretty strong stuff!! I also have blocks and a seat cushion uner the skeg....just in case. |
