Awesome show. Dakota fred is a prick. Hope the hoffman's are the ones that hit the motherload. Only reason id want parker to get it is because his grandpa is awesome. Headed back home now, thank god for dvr.

 Re: Gold Rush
I remember seein a behind the scenes episode of the gold rush guys in Ghana where the jungle gold is set. I'm assuming the production company is securing th land leases for the shows sake and once it was decided gold rush needed to stay in Alaska they found some ppl to mine in Ghana. Makes me wonder where the gold rush crew would be on their own.. Obviously the show does better if they strike it big but most ppl don't understand the money these production companies throw around making a show. Having been involved with a few shows being made I will tell you they spare no cost!!!!

 Re: Gold Rush
Hell yea, love that show, can't stand Dakota Fred, he's a jackass, I like how he asked Parker for help last night and when Parker asked him to return the favor he told him no. Fucked up. That's one thing among many more.

 Re: Gold Rush
Every year they are gonna go bust if they dont strike it rich an then they keep comin back even tho they made little to no money. I think with dave they might turn a profit but todd doesnt plan stuff out enough.

 Re: Gold Rush
Been watching from the beginning. Todd is a moron, but hopefully with the crew split up they can do good this year.

 Re: Gold Rush
I believe you're right, these production companies probly do throw around some money. Think about it, to produce a hit reality series has to really pay off. It's not like they have to pay high actors salaries. If they took the millions they'd normally pay for a cast and instead set some yahoos up to succeed at say, gold mining, they could really stack some cash.
