Here in Cuba on the Chesapeake, we're getting hammered with rain and some wind. But the latest models have it turning towards us. Looks like slow, fat storm.... Ugh.

Good luck guys! I'm sure many of us on here don't give it much thought, considering we usually deal with these a lot more often, but I know it's sometimes a whole different animal when it hits a really congested area like this one could. Call us if you need a mud boat army!

One of my lease partners is a lineman with Cleco and got sent to Baltimore. He swears he will be back by opening weekend. I have been giving him a bunch of shit about it. We wagered a steak dinner that he wouldn't be back if this storm is as bad as they say it is.

All BS aside...I hope it is not as bad as the forecasts and I am buying him a steak dinner. Just reality tells me that is way too many people and way too much infrastructure exposed to a storm of this magnitude to be home in less than two weeks.

Im here in dover de....nothing but wind and rain so far along with a flooded yard. Still have electric for now. Just time to sit back and wait this out. High tide tonite will be intresting due to the wind shifting and possibly locking the tide and surge in.

best thing to do is to get your board games out, get your cards out, listen to the weather radio and just pass time. It's going to be a long 48 hours.....and have PATIENCE. Patience will get you through this.

Stay safe.

Post subject:  Re: HERE COMES SANDY

The eye is directly over dover/ nothern kent county and is heading west and is being downgraded. Still have power in most of the area. The delaware and new jersey beach areas have taken one hell of a beating. Arround where i am there are some downed trees and flooded areas but all in all, im thinking we are all very lucky so far.

No real damage in the area, but that is the end of sandy... other pics are of some of the equipment we'll use when storms come up here. Support from the national gaurd, natrual resources dept and my fire department. Jersey took 100% of the power and new york city got the surge. Im thankfull no major damage in our area just locallized flooding. We where lucky in central de.

No, I was referring to DuckHunterF250 above, the lineman. All his talk yesterday about sitting around his motel room. I bet he's working his ass off today with all of the outages they've been talking about on the news. God Bless him! He may not see opening weekend... have yall needed your boat or is the flooding not bad in your area?

I bet he will be rewarded in the form of greenbacks though

RJ how does all that work? Who determines where you go and what you do?
