Theres a guy on here who had a harley motor on a gt. I wanna say his name had the word basin in it. I cant really remember the name, but he has a army truck as his avatar picture. Maybe someone can chime in and point you towards the thread

Re: street bike motor on a gator tail
Frames are the most expensive part of these motors. A used one sold on here this summer for $2500, but I haven't seen one for sale since then.

Re: street bike motor on a gator tail
I'm with Jimmy. a streetbike motor doesn't have the low end torque to make it as a mudmotor. you would have to use a clutch (not electric) and have it slipping so often it would wear it out in no time.
You need a motor that makes it's power at low rpms

Re: street bike motor on a gator tail
Im thinking It would have to have some kind of centrifugal clutch to get any power to it.

Re: street bike motor on a gator tail
Thinking of doing the same thing you would have to use an s-n-s evo engine. But the problem comes to starting it it. The only way i know is to mount a fly wheel on the shaft on the back side

Re: street bike motor on a gator tail
Well it must be the cvt transmission cause I run 31 laws and It still has low end torque out of this world.
