Ran my new gator 35 today in break in mode. I've owned 2 longtails previously. I know what happens when you hit a stump or similar object at full speed with a longtail, but what happens with a surface drive? Doesnt seem to be any "give" and I'm wondering what breaks?

It will free float and just bounce up no problem. They won't be nothing break unless the prop get jammed in a stump or something kinda freak like

It will kick up,just make sure you are clear and have the right grip so as not to break your hand.

Loosen up the nut that holds the tiller and it'll also float instead of jerking your arm out of socket. 3/4" nut on bottom of plastic cover, by the trim motor.

You're done breaking it in. run that mofo WOT. Remember it's just a lawn mower engine with a 12.25" blade.
