 Perko latches
Bout to be in the process of installing hydroturf in my unclej, was wondering about installing my latches and seat bases, on top of the turf? Or but the turf up to the edges of latches, seat bases ect

 Re: Perko latches
Butt the turf to the edges. Mounting on top will leave some play and you will likely break them at some point.

 Re: Perko latches
You can also mount them on top, which is easier and cleaner looking in my opinion. Lay the turf over the whole deck, then go back after and cut the hole out with a razor knife. Install the latch, screw it down tight and leave it for a day. The next day the turf will compress a little more when you re-tighten them. Then just adjust your latch contact to make sure everything is snug.

 Re: Perko latches
See that's what I was thinking, but I've decided to go ahead and just butt the turf up, that way it's kinda recessed into the floor
