The motor is a bad mofo. Every one thinks that 1744 Instagator boat is light but it does have a .125 Bottom. The sides are shaved down a bit. only has 4 1" x 2" ribs over the 44" bottom instead of 5.

Anytime you see one of these with 2/3 of the hull out of the water, it's running 38+.

yes, I have my stock flywheel and stock crank also,if i had Cody's fly wheel i imagine it would run a little faster and some timing put into it, everything else is done, real healthy cam, Head work and timing, fine tuned you might say lol I want to put a 160 main jet into it lean it out a little and see if i can pick up some more out of it.....its fun it really is to have all the power right there when you need it. To be honest though if i did it all over again i would just do Carb, heads, and exhaust. Seen some significant performance out of that combo.

I am just wondering because I'm helping a guy to build a motor on a gtr to outrun all of these mud buddy nazis runnin around up here I told him he needs to get in touch with Cody at setx because I read the review on your motor this motor will be on a 1846 gtb with drop deck and pointed bow so I think it'll scream when it's finished

Also if you we're to build a motor but keep it fairly reliable what all would you put into it?

Yessir I hear ya, like I said it will be at the end of the season. We have been kinda researching into what parts to use to get the most out of this motor and this thread has answered a lot of my questions.
