As of late it seems that the site has been having it's share of retardedness going on and we need to get things back on track to being what MMT is, the best damn mudmotor website on the planet.

Just to be clear so no one gets their feelings hurt,this is not directed at any one individual or group of people. I've always shot it straight when it comes to MMT and now's no different so don't be offended.
Retarded Posts:
The site has seen it's share of retarded posts lately that sometimes make no sense and it's causing folks who want real info to dig through all the bs to get something usable. I'm not saying folks can't post by any means but use forums like the Duck Blind to do the everyday bs sessions.
We will have a regular chat time each night so everyone can banter back and forth instead of using the forum as a chat room. I'm thinking each night at 7 or 8pm whatever's good with yall is good with me. The chat is open 24/7, but it would be nice to dedicate a time where more folks would be on.
All this does not mean you can't post a joke or rib a friend, just try to limit some of the really retarded stuff.
WTF is Brent Fonty?:
I really don't care. It was a little funny in the beginning but now it's just old and not funny. I tried to get him to reveal on the show but there's probably been too much shit talking to reveal now so let's let it die off and if we never find out I don't think anyone will lose sleep over it. He's banned now so that's that. Let's move on.
The MudBuddy Threads:
MMT is comprised of members who drive all sorts of brands and that's what MMT is all about, discussion of all brands of mudmotors. When you attend a run, it don't matter what everyone drives, everyone gets along and has a good time.
We simply cannot have a thread with a title of "MB Sucks" or anything like that. What may sound cute could make you and MMT liable and we just can't have that. I preach all the time how everyone's responsible for their own actions so let's be more aware before posting threads. Some may say I'm protecting certain persons or companies but I can tell you that is not the case, it's simply a matter of good taste and an effort to keep MMT on top and not looked at as the bashing central of the internet. That's not what MMT is about. If a belt broke or your motor blew is one thing, but lets not have these bs threads that do nothing but make MMT look bad.
New Members / Old Members:
I could not type this thread and not recognize the original members of this site that helped bring it to this level and who will continue to bring it even further. There's a hell of a lot of knowledge on MMT from the original members that should be respected. It's like talking to old people where you pay attention and you just might learn something. These are the folks who have been there, done that.
The mission of MMT is to become even bigger and we welcome everyone to MMT. New members are joining everyday and we want to welcome them all as they too will contribute to our success. They too will one day become as well versed as the original members and will be the ones giving advice to the newbies. That's how it is on every forum on the internet, MMT's no different, except for the fact that we're arguing about a lawnmower engine (attached to a very expensive lower unit
)We ask that the new members respect the original members and the original members respect the new ones coming in. You got to give it to get it, it's an earned type of thing.
Some of the original members no longer post due to some of these bs threads and we don't want that. I could not sit here and not say something out of respect to our original members about this. We want everyone to feel welcomed here at MMT and that includes old and new members.
We simply cannot build a great site without great people and from all the folks I've met in person I'd say we've got some cool people on MMT.
In closing, I want all to know that this is not directed at anyone, it just need to be said. It's not sucking anyone's ass or protecting or anything else than a effort to keep MMT what it is, one bad ass internet site that rules them all. Goto Google and type in the word mudmotor and you'll see where we're at. We didn't get that way for nothing, we got that way for being the best.
Let's get MMT back on track, that's what it's all about.
