So today I bought a 2004 gator trax 16x44 hull on a trailer with a 2010 27 hp kohler mud buddy hd sport. The hull is absolutely immaculate and the motor has an estimated 20 hours on it. Trailer is not the best around, but in pretty good shape. Has running lights, a 12 gallon fuel tank, pop up blind, and the guy gave me a Ron chapman pirogue with it. I only paid $5000 for the whole rig and all the accessories. What's your opinion? Good deal? A steal? Or a normal price for that rig? |

I found it on Craigslist. It was about 5 minutes away from my house. The guy used it opening day this season, and its been sitting in the garage since. Always garage kept, and he was the original owner. Royal purple for oil, and always non ethanol gas. He really took care of it. I will take some pictures tomorrow and get them up here. Here are the ones he had on the listing. |

Took it for a ride today, in 2 feet of water, 24 mph solo with a full 12 gallons of gas. Got right up on plane in 4 inches of water. I'm not used to these kinds of motors, so I was very impressed! Here is a couple more pictures. |

Went for a ride in it again today, really enjoying the hell out of the boat. One inch of water and it got up on plane with 2 people. And we did 21 mph heading up river. Very impressed so far. I do want to get a spare belt to keep in the boat though, they kinda scare me. |

Good Deal Trailer - get a fully assembled hub and bearing kit - McClain trailers sells them for 40.00 each or a full axle and springs complete for under 150.00 |
