I have to deal with DPF daily, I wouldn't want to be the one caught running without it.
The Gov't is going crazy over this, I'm sure the fine would be very high.

yes please tell me how you are getting 22mpg on at 2012 f250? i will relay the info along to my friend who doesnt want to void his warranty by deleting? hes getting 13 in town. 9.7 when he pulls his enclosed trailer. TN doesnt have inspection stickers..yet... but VA does and i live right on the line. so i try to 'fit in' when im over there by attempting to stay quiet.

the day they put emissions on jets is the day ill believe that the govt is doing this for the good of the environment.

I have a 2011 Dodge 2500HD that I did DPF delete on. I went from 12 MPH to 18 - 20 MPG depending on my driving style.

Yeah the main reasons i want to do it is the fuel mileage and a better sounding exhaust. Right now i get around 14 mpg on average on my 2011 dmax. If someones getting 22 mpg on a 2011 ford stock they better keep it because its one of a kind. A few of my padnas with fords get 12 to 15 mpg.

I have a 05 duramax crew cab 4x4 and all I have on it is a 4 inch exhaust without a cat conv. And a EGR delete. It gets 19-20 mpg on the highway and 16.5 every day driving, and I pull a t-190 bobcat just about every day. I love that LLY motor.

Yeah mine is the last yr with no extra garbage other than EGR and cat conv. I had a lbz that was a hoss but they had it so restricted that it never saw over 13-15 mpg. The govt can really eff up some stuff, engines and vehicles included.

In Alabama if the dpf is deleted but you have a turbo you are legal is what ive been told by many, might want to check your laws to see if that's the case

Ive got a 2008 F250 6.4 diesel getting 23 on the highway.. DPF is long gone. Then again South Carolina is probably the most lawless state left in the country.

Flatboat, i just got rid of my Duramax, badass truck, i had EFI Live which by far is the best Programmer built for the Duramax. It was designed for the Duramax and i wished i had known about it 2 transmissions ago. I ran the Edge and the Quadzilla Stealth II on my truck. The edge didn't treat the tranny very well inbetween shifts. I blew a 2nd gear syncronizer. The Quadzilla just decentigrated my second tranny. When i built my 3rd tranny i installed EFI Live tunning and the truck was a freaking beast. Ran real good, shifted even better between the shift defueling. Came with a DSP5 switch. The tunes can be built by several different ZPeople, mine personally was built by a guy called Idaho Rob. Truck was super powerful and was very forgiving on the tranny due to the tunes that he built for the truck.

I ran 4" Turbo Back MBRP with a 6" tip turned down just over the axle. Straight pipe is the way to go on the D-Max. You have the LML motor making right at 405HP and around 800 foot lb. Torque. I had the LMM motor that with EFI live made right at 550HP and 1080ft. lb torque. depending on which tune i was running. Mustang GT's didn't have a prayer, ran a lightning and pulled 5 truck lengths on him, off the line in 4high i could leave just about anyuthing on the starting line. I had my ti-rods sleeved and the trans-go Junior installed.

The D-Max stock for stock is the fastest production diesel, although my new 6.7 is really powerful. But the D-Max is a beast. If you have any questions about it give me a holla (409)719-3632

I will say this.... I've been beat once in my area. And that was from a 04 dmax running efi live. We just got on the interstate and I was behind him. Once on the interstate you got about 1/4 mile then you go up a mountain... I seen smoke and mashed mine and there was no hope In stopping the pull he was laying on me. Now it wasn't like he pulled 20 links on me but it was prolly a good 5-7 links before I let out. Stout truck! I live 30 mins from Bristol motor speedway if any of you are NASCAR buffs.. But there was a 2010+ 2500 dmax 2wd with efi live running 12.5 all night this past summer.

I believe I mis understood the question..............
The DPF I was talking about is the (Diesel Particulate Filter)
I don't know what Dodge or Chevy uses, but I'm very familiar with
Ford,Komatsu,Kobelco,John Deere,Kubota and Deutz.
We purchased over 200 45,000lb excavators last year to avoid the Tier4 engine.
Ford uses DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) injected into the system to clean the DPF.
I have no idea what the others use, Komatsu doesn't use DPF they inject Diesel into the system to achieve the burn off. It's debated that its less fuel efficient this way.
As far as 22MPG 2012 2wd F-250 its not one of a kind, I have 3- 2012 f-550 getting 15-16 hwy
with full work bodies,tools,90 gals. of fluids, welder, compressor and a crane.
If your talking about Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) removal, I don't know about that.

I know the burn off deal that they had on the 08-09 fords was a pain in the ass. My buddy had one and it was recommended to not cut the truck off when it was cycling. Seemed like it did it every time we pulled in to eat or something and 10-25 minutes later it would shut off.

I hear the Feds are cracking down on the makers of EGR blockers, too. I have one in my truck along with a finger stick wired in to bypass check engine codes. Makes a huge difference in how the truck runs in general.

i got a sweet deal. local diesel shop suggested a Gorened, but dave was backed up 4 months on trannys so i went with the BD. he had one a vendors trip on a cruise and part of the deal was a one time order from BD as much as he wanted to order for 30% off. so he ordered my tranny along with 2 other guys. and like 20k worth of parts for his store. HUGE order, but hey he gets to trun around and make 30% more profit plus installation on most items. ended up with about 7200 in mine. that was everything including 3 gallons of fluid or whatever it was.(at 6.90 a quart) gotta love the price of a diesel....dodge especially!
