Alweld 1648 and mini mudbuddy 27
Hey all upgrading rigs and doing alot of hard thinking about this. Thinking about purchasing alweld 1648 with a mini 27. I can't find anyone running this and am curious how it will run. I want to hit 20 with three guys with guns 3 dozen dekes and waders. Opinions? Budget around 7 said and done but don't want a used turd with 300 hours.

Thats because its gonna be hard to find a non "turd" rig for 7K or less that will run 20 with 3 guys and a dog and a hunting load...

I run a 1748 weldbilt and only run 22-24 mph empty. Doubt 20 mph with the load you described, probably closer to 16-17.

Re: Alweld 1648 and mini mudbuddy 27
I can get a brand new alweld 1648 and trailer for 3 grand. and found a mini 27 with 91 hours for 3 grand used. Thats six grand so a grand under budget and I feel like that is a great rig for the price. Just wondering how it will do and stated didnt want a turd and my budget so someone did not change my mind. I hunt florida. My hunting load isn't anywhere close to the load some haul. I have three guys, waders, guns, and 3 dozen decoys. I am just trying to see what this combo will do and hoping I would be happy with it.

Re: Alweld 1648 and mini mudbuddy 27
The Alweld hall is first class for those type boats. I have a South Fork and I am replacing it with the 1648 Alweld soon. I would go with the GDSD or the GTR. Both have great local service. I am not a fan of mud buddy. I don't like the vibration or the props. Regardless you will love the 1648 Alweld with a mud Motor. It performs well.

Re: Alweld 1648 and mini mudbuddy 27
Being that I have a 1648 Alweld, alls I'm sayin is that you probably won't run 20 with that load. Unless its 3 really small fellas and not much of a load. I know with me 220, another 220 and another 210, 8 dozen decoys, 3 guns, 12 gallons gas, a 50 lb lab, boat blind, and 3 blind bags my shit with a stock 35 GTR only runs between 23-25 deep water. I don't think a 27 MB could push a similar load 20. But hell, I'm wrong all the time so who knows
