Post Float Pods in the Way?
I'm planning on ordering a 35 GDSD Monday morning. I ran my buddy's 35 GT rig a few weeks ago and I remember thinking to myself that if I was in my boat the back float pods would probably be in the way. I don't know if their called pods or what, they're inside my boat. I have to run a lot of tight canals. What do y'all think, would they be in the way or is the handle long enough on a GD35 SD that I wouldn't walk or lean into the pods? I'm planning on moving the gas tank to the front.

Anyone know if the handle length on a GDSD is shorter than a GDLT?

Cutin'm out is what I was thinking. Everybody I know says don't do it, but none of them have floatation in their new boats. Might just see how it goes with them in there and cut them down later if I have to. I doubt that those two lil blocks of foam would do much, but I don't know for sure.

Just sit on it or stand w/ 1 knee on a pod

GDSD handle is only about 2" shorter than the GDLT.....

Can give you an exact measurement if you want.....

Thanks y'all. I'm taking my hull over to the dealer tomorrow.

Appreciate it Gigga, I should be okay with 2" less once I move my gas tank to the front. I have plenty of room when running the LT.

That's what she said...

They won't obstruct anything; you'll be fine.
