So ima let yall know how my morn went.

Buried two friends this morn, which was a nightmare. when i get home i let the dogs out in the yard and started cleaning the house. I heard barking so i opened the door to get them in the house, i figured they were barking at people on the sidewalk (have a 4 ft picket fence and live on the corner so theres alot of traffic). I look out and saw the entergy contractor (CCI) leaving the yard, so i said "sorry man i didnt know y'all where here" as he hurried out. he didnt knock on the door or anything to let me know he was going to be in the yard. I turn and look at my dog (she's white) and this SOB maced her all in the face, couldn't open her eyes. So i run to his truck as hes trying to leave and confront him. we get into an argument which almost leads to a street fight. SOB is trying to cover his ass with all these bullshit excuses. so my girlfriend comes out with the dog and is askin for the bottle of mace he sprayed her with so she could tell our vet, he wouldn't give it or tell me what was in it. I didnt want to grab at him either b/c then he could take it as i was trying to assault him, i was hoping hed be dumb enough to do it to me as i could clean his ass. so ive got his company people here trying to calm the situation down(saying it a defensive procedure for their employees). i walk around the house to show them where it happened an noticed that theres mace spray all over the iron gate indicating he was not even in my yard, sprayed her from outside the fence then came into the yard to read the meter after she ran off. I got animal control to the house to asses the situation, entergy HR department on the phone and his company (CCI) HR department on the phone. O and i got vid of me asking him to leave the front of my house but he wouldn't.

holy fucking shit! dude you have a lot more patience than most, i woulda drug his ass in my yard on my property and stomped his ass in the dirt. how could u honestly be in the wrong if u whipped his ass on ur property, u could say u felt threatened by him, his word against ur on your property. Fuck that mother fucker, i would sue bitches and get mofos fired over this shit!

You will have to keep your gate locked to keep them out. We had a similar scenario at my house and I was told by a supervisor that we should lock the gate or have a no trespassing sign posted if we didnt want them coming in the yard without letting us know first.

Maybee you can have him charged with asulting your dog or animal cruelty since he sprayed him from outside the fence you would have had to taken pics of the spray on the outside of the fence for proof though.

the gate was locked from the inside. its a short raw iron gate, so he reached in and let himself in after macing her. SOB should have come to the door or left a note about the dogs after seeing them in the yard

Did you call the police? If so, and they refused to charge him with anything, I'd consider filing a lawsuit. If you win, donate any money to the ASPCA. He'll likely get fired, and they'll be more clear with their employees regarding how they can/can't use pepper spray.

I'll add that you're a lot more tactful than I am! I woulda probably shown my ass and cussed that niqqer out (partially by calling him a niqqer) instead of gathering evidence and contacting the correct people... I'm certain I'd have pulled my gun on him, even though it wasn't the correct situation.

It won't help with what's happened today but tell them you want a meter they can check with RF and then they don't have to come in the yard. Cleco did it for me because of my "scary" German Short Haired Pointer.
I'm sorry to hear about this and I would have this guys ass fired for sure.

I stand corrected regarding the ASPCA, but you get the idea. Give it to a local shelter or something else good for dogs.

Send them a monthly check for your average bill and have them adjust at end of each year. I represent a few utilities and this is how they handle it. Most are going to wireless readings now.
