Anyone have an effective way of marking the trim so that you know where to set it after being trimed all the way down?

Once you get used to it you will not need to adjust much. Your RPM's are your best gauge.

The mud here isnt hard but it isnt soft either...so when i drop the EZ trim it just digs a hole and i dont go anywhere. I have to drop it almost all the way down for the prop to grab so i can get going again.

Ohhh no i go looking for stuff to screw around in. Theres one cut thats pretty muddy and i run into it no problem but i cant turn around on a plane because its to narrow (tried to once but i just slid onto the bank) so i stop and turn around and play in the mud. The water is only like an inch deep and the EZ trim dosent get my prop down far enough to get me moving again.

Yeah we don't have the mud over here. Sounds like you need to invest in a motor with power trim.

My motor is from 2005 and when GD came out with the EZ trim they sent me one. I installed it and most of the time I like it however I never had any issues with it the way I bought it. Without the EZ trim I could get the motor down alot deeper. We don't have the mud here in Indiana/Mo/Illinois/Kentucky like in La. I found when I was running around in La I liked it without the EZ trim. Around here It works fine.
