Post Need opinions/ advise on lights
I recently sold my 20" light bar I had on my boat, it was extremely bright but with the pointed now and being 20" bar I had to put it back farther which caused a bad glare off the bow, I was going to have some taller brackets for the bar but I want my lights as low profile as possible. I have thought about buying a HID go light but unsure if I want to spend 700+ on a light. My question is who has go lights and how much do you like them are they worth the money? I want something I can take on and off pretty quick and easy. And I do like the fact that it can be mounted right on the point of the bow to get little to no reflection. Any suggestions??

Get you one rigid dually spot and two dually floods. Make a v shaped bracket for them
I got those lights off ebay for around $263 shipped.

ive been running a go light and small halogens for years, ive never had a hid one but I don't think by itself it will ever be enough. I cant even see the golight when the 20" bar is on. hid might do better though. you can run a set of the d2 driving lights for forward view and run the go light for hitting the sides and forward.

it does when you have a go light mounted on top of the bar! only time you will see that golight is when its out of the bars shining area. absolutely no need for a golight facing forward with a 20" bar. only time I would use the go light is to look out to the sides and ive got a couple ideas to get rid of the go light all together :D

not the greatest pic. A buddy took this with his iPhone hence the low pic quality. Plus the iPhone camera doesn't pic up ambient light.

Thanks. The middle is definitely bright. It is the spot pattern. However, two things are working against this photo.

#1 Cell phone camera doesn't pick up ambient light
#2 Light needs a source to reflect off of or you do not see all of the potential

I talked to a buddy and I think I'm gonna order 2 7" HID lights and have a bracket built for the front of my boat

Full throttle those look similar to what I'm talking about. I think I'm going to get both spots and thinking it might be bright enough to light up the creeks too
