just bought a 23 longtail off a guy for 1500. just curious if anyones having any problems with them

Pretty simple design, crank up and go, so not really much to worry about. Just keep the engine serviced, all fittings greased, and enjoy your new motor.

im not familiar with mudbuddy but owned a few godevils figured the sealed bearings were a better rig than brass bushings.

Same here, go devil are the only ones I've fooled with. Check in the long tail section, you may can find some info on them there.

I had a mudbuddy longtail and never had a bit of trouble out of it. It was built tough. I put mine through hell and it kept going. The only thing I went through were props and thats only because we run a bunch of sandy bottoms.
