Hi guys been surfing the site for awhile now and decided to join. I have seen a lot of good advice and some great builds was hoping you guys could help me out. Im just starting on my build and have some questions I have my plans all ready laid out just some tech stuff im stuck on. I have a 14' lowe jon and have bought a 13hp predator motor my question is what gear ratio should I run I want to make it a surface piercing motor,where do you guys buy your pullys at? what to make direct drive and use a timing belt also I know its a newb question but I don't know how to figure out what size pullys I need my motor is 1" shaft and the drive shaft is going to be 3/4 cold rolled steel shaft can some one please give me exact sizes I need. what prop should I run?? Use Gates Poly Chain
8mgt-1224-21 belt
Ratio about 1.3 to 1.4:1
Means top sprocket 1.4 times smaller diameter than lower sprocket.

Thanks oldschool do you have any ideas on what prop to run?

9x8- I ran a 10x8 and it didn't do justice. Make sure its a sd prop!
