23 hp surface drive

 23 hp surface driveCan my buddy put a 23hp surface drive on his 14x32 hull? It has 16 inch sides, I'm trying to tell him no that's it's too heavy, but he doesn't believe me. What do you guys think?

Re: 23 hp surface drive I've seen one on a 14x42 that had 3-4 inches of freeboard and took water on when he stopped, so hell no.

23 hp surface drive I had a 23hp on a 14/42 alweld and i did all kinds of fun shit with that little beast. Including sinking it twice.. But like the others said don't slow down fast might get some water on ya..

Re: 23 hp surface drive I have a foot foot with a 25hp mercury 4stroke 165lbs. The mud buddy 23 mini is 167lbs. I don't see where it would make that much of a difference
