Well my iphone finally bit the dust today when I swamped my waders with it in them walking across a slough this morning, so I finally went out and got the galaxy S4 active.. Best decision ive ever made. This phone is the beezzneeezz!! Ill never go back to Iphone again!

For some of you android users out there, what are some cool apps to get. I had the duck commander app on my iphone, which was by far one of the best hunting apps ive had, and I can no longer find it with my new phone. Im looking for a good app that will calculate shooting time for the morning, a good weather app, navigation app, and any other real useful app..

I made the switch over to a galaxy s4 active and havent looked back. The only thing I mis about my iphone was riverwatcher app. Havent found anything close to it for android.

Apple has great marketing - but never could understand the fascination with them. I have a Ipad Mini that I hate - can't do anything but what they allow you. Anyway, I like Tracker on the android - I have had it for years. very nice to see where you are on the water and backtrack if you want.
Look in Widgets for a nice Circle widget that does great weather.

My buddy hates his S4, he never has service where we hunt. But he said at least it has a good camera!

I rarely dont have service with mine and I work out in the middle of nowhere. Theres places that most people cant make calls and I can.

I had the galaxy s3 and I never got service where my iphone did.

I've heard the apple only allows you to do certain things argument before. I'm not much of a nerd but what are trying to do with your phones that apple won't allow you to do? Especially with being able to jailbreak them

I'll always stay with apple simply for the lack of virus issues. I'm not a big computer guy so not having to deal with anti virus software and all the bullshit that comes with it is worth it to me. Are the Microsoft OS phones susceptible to viruses?

I went with the s4 active for the fact its called water proof and dont have to have an expensive case like the life case. I have not had an issue with serivece yet.

Whats some more must have apps?

Alright well now apparently im not getting text from iphones.. Anyone else have this issue? Ive had quite a few people say they have texted me, and I never got them.

Your friends have to delete your contact info and recreate it their iphone thinks you still habe iphone and is trying to send you an imessage, if that doesn't work they need to go into their settings and make sure the selector in message settibgs saus something along the lines of "send as text message if imessage fails"

I cant ask everyone whos going to text me to do that.. I think I found the solution.. I have to delete all the contacts I had in Icloud, and I also have to deregister my iTunes account pretty much, or atleast take my number, and email off of it....

I just recently made the switch from an Iphone to the galaxy s4 and had the same problem with receiving texts from other people. You do not need to do anything to your contacts to solve the problem. Just go to Apple and log into your account. It will still show your old Iphone as being active. Select the device and click "unregister". It might take up to a couple of hours to take effect but it will solve the problem.

Fixed it... Dodge that's exactly what I did.. imessage was still on and IOS7 update turns SMS off..

and Deadbrain... What does my mother and father have anything to do with my phone service?
