new gtr25 throttle cable freezing up from cold
:?: Just purchased new GTR25 . Have been to lake twice both times throttle cable was frozen could not run motor very diappointed . Wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions how to prevent this from happening . Not going to take propane torch to try and thaw out cable to close to fuel lines and don't want to melt rubber coating on throttle cable. Also went from LT to GTR25 running on 1648 flat bottom used for hunting and fishing this motor is alot heavier than LT went to wheel chair battery in back moved fuel tank and battery for lights up front . Do Ya'll think this will help noticed hole shot was bad slow with big battery and fuel tank back by engine with one guy up front.

I use water resistant silicone spray.. Haven't had an issue yet even in below freezing temps...

Inject your throttle cable with anti-freeze using a turkey injector.

My throttle cable was so cold the other morning that it was so stiff that it wouldn't never stay clipped to my throttle lever on my gtr35 so I took out the the pliers and drove it with my pliers hooked to it all the way to the blind

I have found that its usually the tensioner at the hand throttle that is causing this problem on the subaru 25's.
