 Lilly Keel
Interested in a lilly keel like the crawfisherman use in the basin with an outboard. Ive seen pics on here but wondering if anyone has a video of one in the thick lillys (Hyacinths), Ive searched without luck. 18 mile roundtrip ride in deep water to my camp and back is getting old in a surface drive. Most of the area I hunt there has 15 inches of water but is infested with lillys that are in and out with the tides. Soft bottom with no stumps so im wondering if a lilly keel and a 60-70 hp outboard may be the ticket. Kinda like the idea of being able to put it on only when needed. I've also seen the ultrajack but am afraid having the motor that high will be a problem with a heavy weekend load of ice chests and gear. Any help or opinions are welcome.

 Re: Lilly Keel
Is the keel removable or does it stay on the boat? I've never used one with my outboard for crawfishing and might get one this year. How do they preform?

 Re: Lilly Keel
It slides in a track under the boat and pins inplace not made to go fast with and does great in lillies and floating trees

 Re: Lilly Keel
I've ran without one for a couple of years and back when i started i really had no problem with the logs its just the lillies that are bad. I'm just looking for something to help my outboard in the lillies

 Re: Lilly Keel
Do any of you have a photo of the track under the boat? Would love to see how the keel is attached.
