 Trailer Bearings
I'm looking into building a small (10hp) surface drive and was thinking of using a set of trailer hubs for my lower drive shaft. I could use the 4 wheel bolts to secure one end and turn the prop end hub on the lathe to get rid of the flange and slim it down. Seems like it would work, but I'm not sure about the side load on the bearings. Just wondering if anyone had done this before.
