I've been around gator tails for bout 6-7 years never seen this happen or heard of it happen we were at the gt redfish tournament I was riding in my buddy's boat so this is not my motor just curious to see what caused this. Anyway we were riding down bayo dularge and sound like we hit a oyster reef turn motor off take back cover to find this

We'll I've had my motor for 4 years and few ppl I know have even older motors than me never seen this before one of those 1 in a million things I guess

Don't know if had any thing to do with it but I noticed his boat was extremely sluggish out the hole he had a stage 1 on a 18x54 extreme with. 3 ppl and. 2 ice chest and rod box and we were bearly moving like 21 and it took forever to get on step it had no bottom end I knew something was up with it but wasant expecting that

Maybe the instant reverse kicked in while you were motoring forward? Clutch locked up at full power? Snap goes the crankshaft! I wouldn't know I own a MB.............I don't have reverse.........a clutch (direct drive fuck the clutches) or broken crank........ :o Bad deal either way for the owner of the GTR.

This happened to my buddy last year while we was digging a ditch. I was busting it and he was following to dig and the crank cracked in the same spot.
