 Any other company make high performance heads?? Im just wondering if "Iron Mountain" is the only place that sells things like aftermarket heads..?? and if anyone has used any other set and had good results? Just curious. Thanks guys!

Re: Any other company make high performance heads?? A person has to be out of their got dam mind to give someone $800.00 for a set of heads!I had mine done for less than $200.00.Find a competent machine shop that does heads and do the port and polish yourself.

Re: Any other company make high performance heads?? Wayne at Harahan performance parts and machine shop estimates $250 to $500 depending on the condition of the heads. They use Manley stainless valves 504-737-0667

Re: Any other company make high performance heads?? All of this head work depends on what is actually being done to the heads. I would be willing to bet that this is single angle valve jobs, casting knock downs and smoothing and decking. There wont be any port shaping, removing of valves guides and beveling, multi angle valve jobs with no lapping compound, deshrouding, polishing of combustion chamber and exhaust ports, valve stem cutting to keep stock geometry, new valve stem seals, and so on and so on. The only reason I made this post was to make people who are unaware of what goes on with the shops that charge higher rates. It was not ment to bash in any way so please don't take it that way.
