Seen it before there's lots of Amish up this way. You never know what they'll be pulling. A big thing for the teenagers to do it come thru town with a load of wood or and empty flat bed trailer with a couple horses running dang near wide open and standing up balancing on the seat like their surfing or something. Pretty good people for the most part. Would do almost anything to help a neighbor out. We've got a couple of them up here that live to goose hunt. Sold those dudes a few calls over the years. They've got a damn nice spread of full bodies and layout blinds too. Funny watching them pull their decoy trailer around with their horse. ![]() |

He must be a Mennonite. There are many of them in Southern Michigan, down by the Indiana border. Unlike the Amish, they have electricity on their farms, use tractors to farm with, and use motors on stuff, but for some reason don't use automobiles. |

The Amish Ive hunted with have a phone and electric in the barn. But it's not from the power company, they run a 5000 watt generator? It's a strange deal tbh. He tells me it's ok to have a telephone but not in the house. It's ok to have electric but not in the house and it has to be a generator? Lol that's fine I don't really give a shit cuz he's got some of the best goose fields in michigan. Slap covered in honkers every year. He invites me a few time to enjoy the fruits! I drive my trailer out there with my truck and he rides along? Likes listening to the radio? Lmao funny feller. No mushtash but a big ole thick beard and he can call damn good too! But he had a great teacher.......... |
