Here are some pics of my recent JL Audio Install. I built an extended deck that hinges forward. The entire stereo can be removed in about 5 minutes. It definitely rocks!

Equipment Info:

JL Audio 8.8 M series Speakers
JL Audio M400 Amp
Clarion CMS2 reciever

I bet that does sound awesome. My next flats boat will have four 7.7 or 8.8 in it.

My buddy's See Vee has at least 28 (maybe more but i counted 28) JL speakers scattered about. That boat rocks the dock.

That is a fine setup my boy!

Note to self:

3 hingle pins = hammer and punch

3 wire harness connections and battery = cresent wench, flat head , and Phillips.

Radio,GPS, and grab bar = hacksaw /assorted hand wrenches.

So Flatone where do you live? lol

Post subject:  Re: JL Audio Install Pics

To be honest... I have avoided adding up what it cost... LOL

JL Speakers: $400
JL Amp: $400
Clarion CMS2 Stereo: $200

Some may have seen my post about the custom battery box... That was the second half of this project. I wound up putting in the cables to connect my deep cycle trolling battery back to my main starting battery... and a charging isolator to charge both batteries at the same time. So I would have to add about $100 for wire and fuses. The actual folding deck piece I built out of cardboard and had one of my guys put it together here in my shop. The black starboard costs more than the aluminum.

I will say that it does sound awesome. It is loud and clear. I am curious what it would sound like with a bass tube so I could run the filter on the speakers......
