 what motor to get
I am wanting to get a mud motor for my duck boat. Not sure if I should get a long tail or a surface drive. I have a 1860 g3 boat any advise pros and con's would be great.

 Re: what motor to get
MMs work best on light slick bottom true mudhulls....
A 23 LT will plow that 1860 G3 thru a lot of muck and chit - you will comply with the small prop rules and the small hp limits everywhere and when you don't run an outboard you will have a usable rig....
Best results will come only by buying a true "matched" MM hull and MM....
