So I have been searching a round and if I up grade I have my mind set on a 1754 prodigy v-rake or a 1754 gatortrax hybrid. both boats would have a 35 gtr or a mb sportv 44. what are your thoughts and oppinions on both of these. I like the gatortrax for its turning ability and love the layouts of the prodigys. both are very similar looking so what do you think?

Out of the options mentioned above I would say a prodigy with a gtr.

Prodigy is a triple chine just like gator trax. I personally love my 1754 prodigy. You get a Prodigy, you won't be disappointed.

You said you like the turning ability of the gator trax. Is that important to you?

To the op, if your really worried about turning in trails /timber, a narrower boat would be better. A 54 will not turn like a 48 or 46. Wether it's a Prodigy or Trax, due to more surface area. Now that being said my 54 Prodigy turns very well as long as I have some boat in the water.

I love the turn ability and maneuverability of gator trax… when I decide to get a boat built Im seriously debating on getting round chines due to the fact that it turns so well

Mines actually not very heavy... I pushed it about 30 yards on practically dry land and it wasn't near as bad as you would think

They are braced a little heavier but it's not much much heavier. They are built like tanks

Is about, this comparison is between all. So a triple and round have more in common than a square. If you try to haul ass around any corner in a true flat is going to slide. No are they exactly the same no, no two boats are
